조팝나무나 공조팝나무 같은 낙엽성 수목은 잎이 있는 상태로 촉성하면 개화가 고르지 않으므로 촉성전에 인위적으로 낙엽시켜야 하는데 그때 쓰이는 약제가 낙엽제이며 석회질소, 염소산소다 등이 있습니다.
