잎맥
잎에 형성된 유관속계(維管束系)를 말함. 뽕에서의 잎의 중앙에 가장 굵은 주맥(rib)이 있고, 그 좌우에 2∼4개의 측주맥(side nerve)이 있으며, 주맥의 좌우에는 교호로 지맥이 있고, 주맥과 지맥에는 많은 세맥이 분지하여 그물모양으로 분포하고 있습니다.

잎의 모양. 잎은 결각(欠刻)이 있는 갈래잎과 없는 둥근잎이 있습니다. 앞의 것을 갈래잎, 뒤의 것을 둥근잎이라 함. 갈래잎은 옆편수(裂片數)에 따라 2-5 및 다열엽(多裂葉)으로(일본에서는 결각수(欠刻數)에 따라 1-5 및 다열엽) 구분하고 둥근 잎은 타원형, 난원형, 심장형 및 오각형 등으로 구별됨. → 엽형.
